Job Description

Project Title: "Legal and Linguistic Support Project for the Turkish Cypriot community"

General description of the position:

  • S/he will carry out a review of the existing technology at the EUCC and provide suggestions regarding IT requirements to create, host and sustain such a database;
  • S/he will be responsible from designing and constructing a database that is user-friendly and includes the specifications required by the Contracting Authority and the Beneficiary;
  • S/he will install the database at the EUCC ensuring that the necessary back up facilities are in place, assess the training needs of the EUCC staff responsible from managing this database and deliver the trainings.

Expert category:

  • Cat. III (>3 years of experience);

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Relevant university degree (i.e. Computer Science or a relevant related field); a Master’s Degree in the directly related discipline will be an advantage;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Turkish and English.

General professional experience:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in database maintenance and professional experience in the IT sector.

Specific professional experience:

  • S/he should have at least 2 years’ experience in creating databases that can be managed online and an experience in developing softwares, including databases.

Language skills:

  • Excellent command of written and spoken Turkish and English;
